HARDCORE HOCKEY TRAINING

Currently, Hardcore Hockey trains individual players, groups, and teams of players on a daily basis, elevating their skill level.  Players from all regional ice surfaces seek out the training administered by Josh Kern and Hardcore Hockey.  These players evidence immediate marked improvement.

 

While Hardcore Hockey is an independently run organization, with no affiliation to a specific team or rink organization, we have the capacity to serve all regional teams.  The Hardcore Hockey staff is composed of experienced professionals, who have all played at the highest levels throughout their careers.  Additionally, they have the coaching and skill training experience to effectively teach in team scenario

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

APP & VIDEO ANALYSIS

• All players will be recorded on-ice by iPads and will be using a specific app with instant video editing software to analyze each player and use instant play back to show exactly what needs to be addressed. 

• During each scheduled session, parents will be emailed / text the on-ice video analysis so they can follow the lesson plan while watching from the stands.

• Free hosting of your videos means that you have no reason not to share your insights with others. Provide the tools and knowledge they need to succeed by sharing videos that can be accessed at any time! This is one more step used to guarantee our professional instruction. This immediate video review is used as a learning tool to show the player (and parent) exactly what it is that needs to be corrected or worked on and why.

 

YEAR-ROUND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

• Players that attend year-round lessons have an inside edge up on their competition: Perfect!  Overall skills will dramatically improve and short and long term goals will be achieved.  Players are taught the proper terminology and critical knowledge in order to be able to recognize techniques at all levels of hockey competition.

 

MULTIMEDIA DEMONSTRATIONS

• Each technique has a video demonstration associated with it on YouTube @HARDCOREHOCKEY360.

• Each technique has a video demonstration incorporated in a drill with it on YouTube @HARDCOREHOCKEYVIDEOS.

 

GAME VIDEO ANALYSIS

• You can create a private YouTube page and upload player video, so HCH can evaluate each player in a game situation and provide video analysis to ensure players are understanding: Positioning and Situational Technique Employment, while ensuring specific skills learned are transferred over to game situations. 

 

360 PIVOT PLAYER EVALUATIONS & PROFILING

• Pivotal Splicer point system (0-6) and graph drawing per technique category. Players are rated at their current overall level of play (beginner – pro).

• Player and parent meetings will be scheduled to discuss (by request only): evaluations, proper hockey equipment, game video coverage, Video Analysis, year-round development plans, and future goals.

 

NEW SCHOOL HOCKEY INSTRUCTION

• Complete breakdowns of new school hockey techniques… We can verbally and physically break down and demonstrate every single hockey technique that you will see in the NHL.  Our staff is teaching players cutting edge moves before they even see it being done by the pros - Not just your average hockey. We take general hockey categories such as; shooting, stickhandling, forward/backward skating, passing, checking and dekes, and break them down in to very specific individualized hockey skills that you will not find anywhere else around, PERIOD!

• This is how we teach during our instructional lessons (beginners not included):

1. Teach a specific powerskating technique (include the upper body positioning as if your holding a hockey stick with a puck).

2. Teach the same powerskating technique with a puck (keeping your shoulders closed, under pressure).

3. Teach the same powerskating and skills technique within a game positioning scenario (defensive, offensive, or neutral zone).

4. Teach the technique under pressure and apply it to a real game situation.
